Step 2

Vintage Lamp Shades Each wire strut is painstakingly hand-wrapped in precisely overlapping layers of cotton twill, and all tape ends invisibly finished.

Step 3

Lamp Shades The frame is then lined using small specialty hand-sewn stitches for a tight, close bond to the struts.

Step 4

Fabric Lamp Shades Next, the lampshade is ready for her glorious custom “gown” to be applied. Each panel of the lampshade is carefully and precisely hand-sewn to the frame. This may include a very skillful process of creating beautiful rosettes, and fan-pleated panels. It also may include hand dyeing, air drying, procurement of exotic and specialty fabrics and custom designed to your wishes, dreams and décor.

Step 5

Custom Lamp Shades Fringe is then hand-dyed to match, air dried, and applied to the bottom ring of the shade. The fringe is wetted down and combed through to allow the rayon filaments to lay straight ready to be hand cut.

Step 6

Victorian Lampshades Lastly, trim is applied to each strut and the finished shade is ready to take up residence as the Belle of the Ball, illuminating all who see her and being a delight to behold, emitting beautiful colors and unsurpassed ambience.
